Day 1: Delhi — Arrival & Orientation
Ahmedabad, India’s first UNESCO World Heritage City, offers a meaningful start to this vegan journey through Gujarat. The old city’s historic “pols” are living heritage sites, where wooden havelis and winding alleys reflect centuries of community-focused living. Explore the roots of sattvic philosophy and how vegetarianism has been practised as a spiritual discipline here for centuries. A welcome talk introduces the group to the concept of ahimsa (non-violence) and how it shaped the region’s culinary traditions.

Day 02: Delhi
Morning explore the myriad charms of Old Delhi on a walking tour. You will discover a seamless blend between historic buildings and modern socio-cultural customs and mores, each corner of the old city pays homage to its glorious, vibrant heritage. Later discover the colonial buildings of Lutyens’ Delhi, designed by British architect Edwin Lutyens. Drive past to the historic President’s house and discover the treasures stored within the national museum too. Stop for a lunch at the heart of Connaught Place. You will also find time to visit the Gurudwara Bangla Sahib.
Day 3: Delhi to Mandawa (Shekhawati) — 250 km | 6 hrs
Drive into the Shekhawati region, known as the “open-air art gallery” of Rajasthan. After check-in at a heritage haveli, enjoy a walking tour of its frescoed mansions and painted walls that once marked trade routes. Dinner is a local Rajasthani vegan thali—featuring ker sangri, bajra roti, and churma without ghee.

Day 4: Mandawa to Bikaner — 190 km | 4.5 hrs
Head to Bikaner, a desert city shaped by camel caravans and Jain influence. Visit Junagarh Fort and the old town’s intricately carved havelis. A visit to a Jain temple sets the tone for a vegan experience rooted in restraint and purity. Dinner includes satvik Bikaneri delicacies—moong dal ki sabzi, tisi ki chutney, and bajra khichdi.

Day 5: Bikaner to Jaisalmer — 330 km | 6 hrs
Journey through the stark desert landscape to Jaisalmer, the Golden City. Arrive at a charming haveli in the old fort area. Enjoy a rooftop vegan dinner with sweeping sunset views and dishes made with local lentils, millets, and foraged greens.

Day 6: Jaisalmer — Fort, Markets & Desert Camp
Explore the living fort of Jaisalmer—one of the few in the world—along with Jain temples and local markets. In the afternoon, head to a desert camp for a cultural immersion. Enjoy folk performances, traditional vegan food cooked in open-fire pots, and storytelling around the bonfire.

Day 7: Jaisalmer to Jodhpur via Osian — 290 km | 6 hrs
On the way to Jodhpur, stop at the ancient temple town of Osian. Visit stepwells and Vaishnav temples before reaching Jodhpur—the Blue City. Evening walk through the blue lanes and enjoy a vegan Marwari feast: gatta curry, rabodi ki sabzi, and mung dal halwa (without dairy).

Day 8: Jodhpur to Rohet — 60 km | 1.5 hrs
Head to the nearby village of Rohet, known for its peaceful rural life and royal lineage. Check into a heritage stay run by a local family. Learn about their Vaishnav kitchen customs and participate in a vegan cooking session. Dishes include raw banana kofta and lotus stem curry, all prepared without onion or garlic.

Day 9: Rohet to Udaipur via Ranakpur — 230 km | 5.5 hrs
Drive to Udaipur with a stop at the stunning Ranakpur Jain Temples, known for their architecture and ahimsa-driven philosophy. Lunch is a simple vegan meal at a local café. Reach Udaipur in the evening and settle into a lakeside retreat.

Day 10: Udaipur — Palaces & Cooking Circle
Depart for Sasan Gir, home of the Asiatic lions. On the way, stop at a forest-side retreat for a plant-forward lunch that honours tribal cooking traditions. In the evening, a nature expert offers a session on Gujarat’s wildlife conservation efforts and their overlap with traditional eco-conscious diets. Dinner includes millet-based dishes and native greens.

Day 11: Udaipur to Jaipur — 390 km | 7 hrs (with stop in Pushkar)
Drive to Jaipur with a spiritual break at Pushkar, the temple town on the holy lake. Visit the Brahma Temple and enjoy a vegan café lunch using regional produce. Reach Jaipur by evening. Dinner features dishes like lauki ke kofte and thalipeeth made using millets and local greens.

After breakfast, explore the Pink City in the morning. Amber Fort, a fabulous sandstone fort complex that overlooks the city. Your sightseeing includes visit to Albert Hall, the state museum of Rajasthan with its vast collection of interesting regional Indian artifacts. On our way to, we will stop by to visit the aesthetically beautiful honeycombed façade of Palace of Winds (Hawa Mahal). Late we will head to the world’s largest stone observatory – the Jantar Mantar. The sightseeing will also cover the visit to a local museum of Hand Printing, which acts to preserve the traditional Indian technique of hand block textile printing and boasts numerous beautiful designs and patterns.
Day 13: Jaipur to Agra — 240 km | 5 hrs
Morning at leisure. Post-breakfast, drive to Agra enroute visiting Fatehpur Sikri. Evening by the Yamuna River with a peaceful dinner on a terrace overlooking the Taj Mahal. Enjoy Mughlai-inspired vegan dishes such as jackfruit biryani, saffron almond curry, and naan made without dairy.

Day 14: Agra to Delhi — 230 km | 4 hrs
