The Vegan Routes began well before its official launch, shaped by years of plant-based travel across India and Southeast Asia. With deep roots in ethical tourism, our founders have spent over two decades creating experiences honouring local culture while staying true to cruelty-free living, from adapting regional recipes to hosting vegan potlucks in remote corners. The goal has always been simple: make plant-based travel feel natural, connected, and joyful.
Our journey has been one of community, innovation, and leadership in the vegan travel space. As Co-Founders of a globally awarded vegan tour company, we’ve conducted over 200 vegan tours and developed strong networks across the region, from luxury eco-lodges in the Himalayas to community-run homestays in the forests of Central India and captivating, off-grid retreats that bridge comfort with consciousness.
We stand as India’s pioneering platform for vegan travel. What began as a passion project has become a dedicated movement—designing journeys honouring plant-based values. Today, we work closely with local partners to introduce vegan-friendly stays, dining, and comprehensive experiences across India. From hosting mindful retreats to supporting hotels in going fully vegan, we’re building a travel ecosystem that’s inclusive, intentional, and rooted in real-world impact.
